Hum, things comming simple.
How is
$ id
and
$ ls -l /dev/ttyLT0

For me,
$ id
uid=501(shino) gid=503(shino) groups=503(shino),5(tty),14(uucp),100(users)
$ ls -l /dev/ttyLT0
crw-rw----   1 root     uucp      62,  64 Apr 26 09:40 /dev/ttyLT0

My system is Vine Linux 2.0, similar to Red Hat 6.1 that is fair old.
