                Hi Ed,

Thanks. So I go:

I've been using efax efax-0.9-8 RPM running on linux RH 7.1 kernel 2.4.2 SMP, in
conjunction with this nice little tool from Per Thomsen named faxrouter (see
http://www.reedtz.com/faxrouter/ ).
It's a perl script using efax which enable to receive incoming faxes, map them to jpg
format and send to specified mailboxes.

The problem I've been having is imho on the efax part, though. Some incoming faxes -
mainly from Asia but I don't know if it's related - couldn't get received correctly by
efax. But many others get in fine.
I have approx. 20% faxes getting in error.

I suspect it's a modem config issue from my part. I'm using an external US Robotics 56k
Faxmodem.

I'm pasting the important customs entries in /usr/bin/fax and the problematic logs
example:

------ /usr/bin/fax:
[...]
# Modif EC20020115
INIT="-iZ -i&FE&D2S7=90 -i&C0"
[...]
# Modif EC 20020115
CLASSINIT="-o0" # Class 2.0
[...]

I'm not sure wether my fax model is Class 2.0 only, but it was not working until I
uncommented
the CLASSINIT.

The remaining should be default entries.

Since then I made some changes:

I upgraded to 0.9a-001114 and read more carefully the fax script ;)
I realized if I was using Class 2.0 I should uncomment FCINIT for USR modems...

So I changed the following settings:

FCINIT="$FCINIT -j+FBO=0"       # USR modems using Class 2.0

INIT="-iZ -i&FE0&D2S7=120 -i&C0"
(back to 120 ppi)

CLASSINIT="-o0" # Class 2.0
(same as previous)

So far it seems to be working, but I only changed these options yesterday so I have no
idea wether it will continue or not...

So thanks to you guys if you have any idea what could be the problem.

And thanks Ed for providing the community with such a useful tool.
