Re: [efax-users] No response to EOP repeated 3 times?

Hi,

The message "No response to EOP repeated 3 times" typically means
the remote end hung up before acknowledging receipt of the page.
There are many possible reasons for this. There is no guarantee
the page was successfully received.

With the Class 2 fax modem interface (the case below) it's the
modem that decided whether the page was acknowledged or not. For
some reason, this modem seems to think the page was ack'ed (or
perhaps efax misinterpreted the return code, it's hard to say
without a verbose log).

With the Class 1 interface, efax makes the decision instead and
you'll get more detailed information about exactly what happened
(if you have verbose logging enabled).

By the way, you should probably upgrade to the 'development'
version of efax if you're using it heavily (it seems to have
fewer problems than the 'stable' version). See the efax web page
for the code.
