Hi,

Since your modem is operating in Class 2 it's firmware is making
the decision on how to answer the call.  You can try using Class
1; this will let efax negotiate and perhaps give you a bit more
information about what's going on.

Since no carrier was detected, it's possible the call was a voice
rather than a fax call.  You can try answering some of these
calls manually to check.
